welcome 💌

The Loneliness Economy is a newsletter about relationships, dating, building community, and the economy that has been built around the human experience of loneliness.

There is so much to be said, really.

If you’re like me, you’re terribly fascinated by the paradox of this time we’re living in where we’re the most connected we’ve ever been yet collectively the most lonely… and largely uncertain about how to navigate our most essential relationships with people, places, and technology.

Loneliness and weak social connections are associated with a reduction in lifespan similar to that caused by smoking 15 cigarettes a day.

Dr. Vivek Murthy

why this newsletter?

The catalyst of the 2020 COVID pandemic sparked a seismic mindset shift, an intentional career change, and necessary self-reflection and growth that has culminated in this newsletter.

Paris is arguably one of the toughest cities for foreigners and expats to plant roots but once you’ve found your people, it’s truly an amazing place to build a life.

Bringing people together and facilitating an exchange of ideas feels like a life purpose kind of thing. This newsletter is an extension of my desire to have deep conversations and connect with those on my same wavelength.

what is the loneliness economy?
